Hi, Heap-Memory in my ES nodes still increases while filter and field cache is bounded. Filter cache is max 800MB, field cache is max 1.4GB (I check it in bigdesk plugin). Heap-Memory grows up to 7.9GB (max) after few hours and I get OutOfMemory exceptions (because field cache is resident). What else can take memory in ES and how to control it ? Thank you. Best regards. Marcin Dojwa. --

Hi, I have a doubt. when I start elastic search it's taking memory around 510MB .now I created around 7,00,000 records in four indexes then it's taking around 3.7GB memory. but when i remove all four indexes memory it's not free.(means it does not come to around 510MB). My doubt is...

Hiya I've just tried loading a million documents into ElasticSearch, running on a small dev server, and memory usage grew until eventually there was none left, and it refused to accept any more docs. I switched to using the file system rather than memory, and everything worked nicely...

Any help appreciated diagnosing this problem, it's been bothering me for days. Here's a graph take from the last months memory usage: http://imgur.com/7FnJN with annoations 1. The server was restarted. ElasticSearch is running OpenJDK at this point. 2. The app memory balloons and Elastic...

Hi, I ran a load test on a single node (with a default configuration) and found that there might be a memory leak in the SoftFilterCache. The test used 20 concurrent users that added a document once every ~5 seconds. 10 additional concurrent users simulated searching every ~1 minute...

hi everyone, we indexed 250 million docs on 6 es nodes. es's fast index speed and relatively low resource (both cpu and memory) requirement is very good. the average index-speed for 1000 docs is about 100ms. we did several performance tests, and they were all passed. but when we reindex...

Hello, I'm building a site (a "dictionary") using couchdb, es and the couchdb river plugin. The database contains around 40000 words and short definitions. I would now like to host this on a VPS and my question is: What are the memory (ram) requirements (how can I estimate?), is there a...

Hi, WODstack started using ElasticSearch a month or two ago but we are running into some really strange issues with instances just spinning completely out of control and eating all the memory. It's obviously either not configured right or tire is doing something bad but see the...

... can currently handle per node: - roughly 400M documents (documents are very small and no data is actually stored) - the documents are split accross roughly 4000 cores The default Solr code is not capable of starting a server with the above content. If you would try this, then memory usage...

... been noticing that the memory usage would never drop. Every node in the cluster is using about 90% of the memory all the time. This triggers the GC a lot (sometimes more than 5 times in a minute). We are using G1GC instead of the default CMS. I then decided to stop querying and indexing both...
